Justly

Most people in search of happiness have not found it where sought.  The enduring pleasures of life are not to be found in the life about us.  They are not found in amassing great wealth, for all the money in the world can not buy happiness and peace of mind.

These enduring pleasures of life are not to be found in the market places of life. The truth is, real happiness is so simple that most people do not recognize it.  Real happiness is not stimulation of the nervous system. It does not come from eating, drinking, seeing, or hearing.  It does not come from gratification of desire or of possession.  Real happiness is born of noble endeavor, a useful life.  It lives in giving, in doing, not in getting, in grasping.  There is no happiness in the world which we do not find in ourselves.  Our ability to appreciate and enjoy will mark the bounds of our happiness.  Happiness can not be found in animal pleasure.

"It is impossible to live pleasurably without living prudently and honorably and justly; or to live prudently and honorably and justly without living pleasurably"
